Day 1: Dar Es Salaam/Zanzibar – Selous Game Reserve
Flight with bush plane to the Selous Game Reserve which you reach before around lunch time. After settling into your tent, you go on a boat trip on the Rufiji River where crocodiles, hippos and grazing game can be seen. Dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Selous Game Reserve
Full day of game drives at Selous Game Reserve named after the explorer Frederick Selous. The Selous Game Reserve is the largest protected wildlife reserve, a UN World Heritage site and a pristine uninhabited area larger than Switzerland. The topography of the park varies from rolling savannah woodland, grassland plain and rocky outcrops cut by the Rufiji River and its tributaries. Activities are game drives and a walking safari. Together with an armed ranger or Maasai guide you explore the bush by walk. You have the option of a full day game drive with lunch box or 2 half-day drives with lunch at the lodge. Dinner and overnight
Day 3: Selous – Dar/Zanzibar
Early morning game drive at Selous Game Reserve. After late breakfast return to Dar es Salaam or Zanzibar. Depending on your flight time, last lunch in the camp.
